At ClassAction, we are passionate about empowering young people to discover their creative voice, develop their skills, and realise their potential. For more than two decades, we have combined outstanding creative training with a strong academic foundation, creating an environment where ambition and individuality can thrive. Our students are encouraged to challenge themselves, think independently, and grow as confident artists and collaborators. Within a supportive yet professionally focused setting, 16–18-year-olds are given the freedom to experiment, take creative risks, and learn from experienced practitioners as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.
We are storytellers, and in the Summer of 26 ClassAction brought Alison Carr's The Last Quiz Night on Earth to the stage in an immersive setting. Set in an ordinary pub on what could be humanity's final evening before an asteroid collides with Earth, the play explores how people respond when faced with the unimaginable. Beneath its sharp wit and brilliantly observed humour lies a deeply human story about love, loss, friendship, regret, and the need for connection. Carr's writing reminds us that even in the darkest moments, laughter, community, and kindness endure, a poignant message for today’s world.
Featuring a talented company of performers and technicians, this production embraced the play's unique balance of comedy and poignancy. Transforming into The Four Horsemen pub immersing the audience in an everyday pub quiz that becomes a powerful reflection on what truly matters, our students explored the richness of Carr's characters with honesty, warmth, and imagination. It is a play that asks profound questions without losing its sense of fun, making it the perfect vehicle for young actors to demonstrate both their comic timing and emotional depth.
The creatives were Luca Cipollone, Tari More and Andrew Pullen, the production captivated audiences with its humour, heartfelt performances, and moving exploration of humanity in the face of uncertainty.
